These A3 fineliner drawings form an ongoing visual diary of encounters, attraction and the performance of desire. The source material comes from photographs taken by myself and intimate images sent to me by men—images offered as invitations, propositions and attempts at seduction.

Reduced to the most economical line, these photographs are stripped of their original context and transformed into something quieter, more ambiguous and more permanent. What begins as an image intended for a private exchange becomes part of a growing archive.

There is an immediacy to the drawings: quick, observational and almost conversational. The simplicity of the line deliberately contrasts with the intimacy of the imagery, allowing gesture, posture and expression to carry what the photograph once communicated.

Influenced by the economy and sensuality of artists such as David Hockney, the works sit somewhere between portraiture, documentation and confession. They are records of looking, being looked at, wanting and being wanted.

Each drawing is another entry in an expanding diary. Individually they capture a moment; collectively they leave a trail—a fragmented record of encounters that gradually accumulates into a larger narrative of queer desire, intimacy and lived experience.

Through the act of drawing, fleeting moments of attraction and connection are elevated into permanent artefacts, exploring themes of vulnerability, masculinity, queer identity, and the documentation of desire in the digital age.

Executed in fine liner on cartridge paper, this work consists of an A4 drawing centred on A3 cartridge paper.

This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork. No prints, editions, reproductions, or copies exist, and none will ever be produced. The collector will own the sole and only version of this work.
